Make yourself at home, where the legend Duke Kahanamoku grew up swimming, surfing, canoeing and bodysurfing.
In 1929, Duke rode a monster wave for 1 1/8 miles at Waikiki, likely the longest ride in modern times. You know that image in your mind of Waikiki Beach, the one with Diamond Head in the distance and outrigger canoes in a turquoise bay of warm water? It’s real and it’s here every day. Splash, body surf or surf, in the warm, turquoise water just below Hawaii’s icon, Diamond Head – just like Duke did.
Rainbow Drive-In strives to serve iconic local food in a fast, convenient manner while treating our customers, employees, and community as family. We believe in sharing our core values of aloha with all customers through ono local food and exceptional customer service.
Rainbow Drive-In was fortunate to be featured on shows such as The Food Network’s Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, CBS’ Hawaii 5-0 and more recently, on Netflix’s Terrace House and CBS’ Magnum PI. They have also received accolades such as the Star Advertiser’s Best Diner and Honolulu Magazine’s Best of the Best Loco Moco and Cheap Eats.
After receiving national and international recognition, they saw an increase in both local and visiting diners and during their 56th year in business, they opened their second Rainbow Drive-In location in Kalihi. Rainbow Drive-In continues to expand, with their recent opening in Pearlridge Centers.
The original Rainbow Drive-In is still a family owned and operated business, now with not one, but three locations. Every day, locals and visitors from around the world dine at the restaurant for big, hearty meals… the classic, Hawaii-style plate lunch.
Tiki’s has a great view, overlooking famous Waikiki Beach.
Tiki’s offers a variety of menu items including fresh fish, steaks and chicken for dinner, sandwiches and salads for lunch, and a wide range of pupu (appetizers) for the bar.
Tiki’s Grill & Bar is Waikiki’s locally owned and operated independent restaurant destination. We provide a casual American and Pacific-Rim menu with flavors of the islands, using fresh local produce. We also offers lanai seating with beautiful sunsets on Kuhio Beach.
We pride ourselves in the quality of our food and the achievement of great customer service.
Shrimp Scampi: This garlicky delight has made Giovanni’s famous world-wide. A dozen shrimp marinated in a secret sauce, served with two scoops of rice all drizzled with a garlic lemon butter and caramelized chunks of tasty garlic.
The “NO REFUNDS” Hot & Spicy Shrimp: This entrée’s name may include a special warning and it may be the big joke on the island – but it really does hurt so good. A dozen plump, juicy shrimp cooked shell-on and smothered in a fiery hot tasty red sauce served with two scoops of rice. Mouth blistering hot, but oh so yummy.
